Dating Advice

Unread postby jacob » 10th July, 2017, 8:12 pm

So this will probably get really deep, but I'm having problems and probably need some help. So this guy asked me out on a date tomorrow, but I'm legit scared to go on another date. I haven't been on a date since I last got dumped by my ex, and I'm just afraid that everything will end the same way that it always does. It feels like every guy I've been out with has left me because I'm just not good enough for some reason, and I really don't know what to do. Like I'm so afraid of rejection that I don't even know if I can handle going on another date. I just don't want everything to end the same way. I really just want to be good enough I guess. What do I do?

You go to that date! You can't give up. Thinks might have gone sideways last time, but that doesn't mean it's always going to be like that. You can't be afraid of going to a date and you'll probably need to go to some more before you find the right guy. Until then, it's just going to be trial and error. If he thinks you're not good enough, then he isn't good enough for you

I am obviously not at all experienced or knowledgeable, so take what I say with a grain of salt, but have you tried to find an underlining pattern when your relationships end? Maybe it could also be beneficial to try to beef up some jokes and just overall fun as it makes you stand out more. Trial-and-error may just be the only option for now. I do not know. Anyways, I am going to try to keep up-to-date with this thread because Lord knows how much dating advice I am going to need in the future :werd: Good luck :)

I really have no clue why everybody I've dated dumps me. Like I don't know if it's a problem with me or with them. But now I'm just afraid to go on the date because I don't wanna be awkward or weird and mess everything up.

Stop overthinking shit, Jacob! :P By wondering and analysing that again and again you strip yourself away from your confidence. And confident + being natural is what makes people look good and be social. So don't wonder if there is something wrong with you, keep believing in yourself cause that's what makes you attractive! Go and slay that date honey!(but not like literally you know, dont slay him literally please, its illegal) :err:

I'm agreeing on everyone with just going, you never know it could end up really good and maybe even marriage if you're into that kind of thing. I am inexperienced though so I'm just kind of thinking in the mindset of kind of future me, and what everyone says sounds like a good idea to me.

I definitely get what you're going through. But go on the date!! If everything goes well, then awesome. If it doesn't, then there's nothing lost and you know a bit more about yourself. Good luck :D
