Lurking is my new favorite verb.

I've been lurking for a bit and I thought I'd make myself known. I suppose I'll do the whole introduction thing.

First name: Marshall
Nickname(s): Marsh, Moosh, but generally just Marshall.
Age: 17
Orientation: Gay (Out)
Where you live: Northern California
What you do: High school senior, graphic design intern at a non-profit.
Dream job: Biotechnology/Life sciences research.
Religion: Spiritual. I believe in something.
Drinking/drugs: Pot is fine from time to time. I'm pathologically afraid of alcohol.
Political philosophy: Economically conservative, would never vote republican. Curious, open and interested in all political opinions. My philosophy evolves.
Interests and hobbies: Sometimes I take pictures. I'd hardly call it photography. Sometimes I read.
Special talents: Bad-ass pianist.
Pet peeves: I don't get pissed off easily. It takes a lot.
Personal heroes: Lady Gaga's ass cheeks. Shit's perky (No pun).
Favourite real-life homosexual: My lesbian dog.
Favourite movies: Children of Men, lots of dystopian movies.
Favourite TV shows: United States of Tara. So good. So... cancelled.
Favourite music: Everything. Lots of folk. I like Nick Drake a ton.
Favourite books: Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, Ender's Game, A Clockwork Orange
Favourite food: Bread & Cheese. Fondue. I'm wet.
Quotes to live by: Basically anything Douglas Adams ever said in his entire life ever. For example:

"Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."

Or:

"It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes."

Little bit about: I don't take things seriously enough (A blessing and a curse). I love getting to know new people and I'd like to believe I'm a pretty good listener. I look forward to meeting you all.

You believe in something and that something is spiritual? Explain.

Betty came by on her way
Said she had a word to say
About things today
And fallen leaves

Said she hadn't heard the news
Hadn't had the time to choose
A way to lose
But she believes

Going to see the river man
Going to tell him all I can
About the plan
For lilac time

If he tells me all he knows
About the way his river flows
And all night shows
In summertime

I believe in a lot of things. I think the future is set in stone from a scientific perspective, and I believe that while we're on this planet we should find ourselves in whatever way we can. For me, the only way to do this is by myself and in nature. I say spiritual just because it's really my own religion.

I like what goes on inside my head and tend to let my mind wander wherever it pleases. I think that because of my beliefs I'm less stressed by life than a lot of people around me.
