Just starting "Goshawk Squadron" by Derek Robinson.

"A bleak and savage book, full of the terror of warfare and shot through with grim humour; a sort of first-world-war Catch 22"

just finished the 8-book Indigo series, by Louise Cooper. it's classic fantasy, some of the books were great but some of them were pretty shitty, including the first 2, so i'm glad i soldiered through it.

Now i've cracked the covers on Jane Eyre and Guns, Germs & Steel, both of which have been great so far (my mom read Jane Eyre to me when i was about 9, so i remember very little), and i'm part way through the Norton Anthology of Short Fiction

After reading about it on GTF (I think it was in one of Boris' videos) I decided to buy Stephen Colbert's 'I am America (and so can you!)'.

I'm currently about half-way through the book and am very pleased with my purchase - so much so that I've been trying to watch as many episodes of 'The Colbert Report' as I can find online (I'm pretty sure they don't show it in the UK). I can't believe I'd never heard of this guy before, he's great!

It's too soon to decide (I've only reached chapter 5). But I'll be sure to give you my opinion when I have developed one.

Finnegans Wake and The Flying Inn, by James Joyce and G.K. Chesterton respectively.

The first one is driving me nuts, so I'll drop it sometime soon. The second one is adorable.

Sticky?

EDIT: Never mind, but I found a bug: the white/gray theme doesn't seem to be treating the stickied topics any better than the non-stickied topics. :(
