I've only heard a bit of that ^. It's nice so far.

Meanwhile I'm getting further into Ghostpoet. He's so subdued and melancholy. Writing about the tail end of a twenty year old's life as they wake up and find they have no real place beyond themselves.

I feel a bit bad for you, Max. Your enthusiasm around Ghostpoet and the UK scene goes slightly unnoticed. For whatever it's worth, I listened to Peanut Butter Blues and Melody Jam back in 2011. I haven't revisited it in a while, but I have very vivid memories of listening to Cash and Carry Me Home.

Pfft pity.

Yeah I'm slightly surprised that there's practically nothing here but US rap. Slightly.

Anyway here's some middling australian stoner rap a friend of mine is with.

Here's an NZ crew that was kinda famous two years ago.

Here's an amazing instrumentalist who does a lot of hip hop beats mixed with Vietnamese pop songs

The second album is a must listen too.
Both are great albums to have friends over with when you're drinking beer in a lazy afternoon and ready to spark up.

If anyone's looking at my suggestions check out Nujabes. Really laid back hip hop.
The guy did the theme song to Samurai Champloo.

After listening to "Gen" for the 10th time, I've decided to get B L A C K I E's other albums, I'm going to start with the one above. Gen was such a raw album that was pretty much completely acoustic with piano/guitar/horns and B L A C K I E's fucking intense rants and raving that in all honesty really fucking impact me. I'll give my thoughts on "Fuck the False" later.

After listening to it, I definitely don't like it as much as Gen, but it was still an enjoyable album. I liked the production, especially the first half with great glitchy beats and I thought the last half with the middle eastern sounds were cool, too. Even though B L A C K I E wasn't as emotional as he was on Gen, he did have much more of an actual flow which was quite difference but fit the tone of this album better.
tl;dr Gen better, Fuck the False still gewd

Cadillactica - Big KRIT
Old - Danny Brown
CLLPNG - clipping.
Run The Jewels II - RTJ
Oxymoron - Schoolboy Q

And, probably controversially...

Mastermind - Rick Ross

Best hip-hop/rap albums of 2014 thus far, assuming new Ye isn't released within 31 days. DISCUSS.

Kanye's first song off of his new album is in that fashion show video that he did.

And Drake's new album lowkey came out a few minutes ago.
