The bloody antique shop sold me an old Indian tradesmans sword, but within 5 minutes of being home and cleaning it, I've found out it's actually from the 1898 Spanish-American war, and made in america.

OT: Can 4th year humanities students please stop being "book-smart" and actually grasp practical theory/concepts? because if i have to explain one more time that Israel is not akin to South Africa in relation to "apartheid" policy, i will cry. LEARN YOUR THEORY. NOT YOUR HISTORIAN WRITTEN, AND THEREFORE BIASED TEXTBOOKS. morons.

so im going on this date with a guy from the LGBT group at my uni. Yesterday one of my friends actually tried to convince me to cancel it because he has bipolar and was determined to tell me i wouldnt be able to deal with it when he is at his lows. Like what a dick move, i knew the guy was bipolar and i know what to expect, doesn't bother me at all.

how as a species do we take time out of our lives to discriminate against people? like seriously. we are all the one race: the human race. some people are born into privilege, others aren't. statistically, we in the west are lucky to be born where we were, given that over 2/7ths of the world's population lives in either China or India. and yet even as we have the ability to live comfortably, many of those who are born into a life of cushy multi-million dollar houses don't seem to understand that not everyone else is. some people need a hand, and cutting welfare payments isn't going to help anyone.

why are we all awful?

The incident surrounding the NoDAPL and the acquittal of the Oregon Standoff domestic terrorists do not leave much faith in the ways things are.

My uncle died just under five hours ago and I'm sat here watching my family pull itself apart over the funeral arrangements. Fun.

So you admit that, if required, you would be able to fit 2 bottles of wine up your ass simultaneously?

Can't say I'm surprised.

That Alex moved to Perth, got a boyfriend and still hasn't visited me. :'(

I am kind of over clubbing and partying... maybe I'm just getting old though.

I know right? So rude. He does in like a month something I've been trying to achieve for like two decades, no fair! :wtc: :wtc:

I really ought to message him to organise a catch up. I've still yet to meet a GTFer IRL. I'm just eternally lazy when it comes to being proactive in these sorts of things (and I wonder why I'm single  ).

2 things:

-Someone took advantage of my emotions and feelings when they really just wanted to "test out" if they were ready for a relationship.

-I've been trying to repair things with a friend and tried again today, but they won't even talk to me and blatantly ignore me, and I understand why they're upset but it still sucks to have someone you had to talk to to just not be there anymore.

that guy in the news, who claimed that homosexuality shouldn't just be mentioned in sex-ed classes, cause gay-folks tend to get always depressions and commit more suicide as other teens.

btw: i didn't lose my faith, cuz I never had any faith in humanity
