Do any of you guys use Spotify?

Spotify is an online streaming service for music. And it's the iTunes killer in Europe. It hasn't been released in North America yet, but it will soon.

Anyways, if you do use it, i would love for you to post you're Profile here so others can see them and litsen to ur playlists.

All of my friends use it, I refuse to. Limewire or Torrents are good enough for me

There was invites before when the program was still new. And you could get them for free, and those who did, have a free account today :awesome:

trust me, i was like that too. Then i mixed spotify with local mp3's and yeah. It's the best

The only issue with web-based music players is that....well, you have to have an internet connection to use them. What if I'm stuck in Africa or on a plane? What then?

When you pay for an account. You can make your playlist availeable offline :oface:

AND on ur phone :oface:

Spotify is awesome, but there ain't no way I'm sharing my playlists, the embarrassment would be horrendous.

iTunes is a slow, awful program. I loathe iTunes.

This appears pointless to me.

So I only have the music on my computer if I pay for it? If I want to pay for music I buy CDs.

you have it where ever you go. Your account can be used on ur phone, ur computer and anyone else's computer. Soon to be TV's too.

So what makes this superior to downloading music or ripping your own CDs? I don't need playlists from my phone or some other computer, I always have an iPod with me :dunno:

yeah but why not use the service if you got it for free?

I mean, there are almost 100 000 users that have a free spotify account and got it when it just launched. I have one of those free accounts, and i wouldn't ever pay for it because yeah, i get the music for free. But now spotify is also free for me, which is not a bad thing ebcause it doesn't take up space on my HDD for all my songs.

If you use Firefox, then you can download a plug-in which downloads the songs from grooveshark as mp3s. That's what I use to get all my music. All you have to do is wait for the music to finish loading and then click "Get It". It downloads the tags too. :nod:

I used to do that, but it made my computer all slow. This way seems to be much faster.

I have 800 torrents open and my computer doesn't slow down :dunno:
