On the age thing...you know what, as long as the relationship isnt built on something unhealthy, like desperation or exploitation, then it should be their business, even though I probably wouldnt have a relationship with a 65 year old.

that said, the guy shouldnt be kicked off the football team for fucking an old guy.

Men and women typically want different things too (hence the whole 'men are from mars, women are from venus' cliche). Are opposite-sex couples wrong too?

Duh.

This. As long as no one is being taken advantage of. Even then, that would be their business not mine.

Should it be my job to teach a child that a couple of the same sex like to show their feelings for one another by sticking their sexual organs in places on their partner where they where not meant to go? I didn't use that answer with my child. I told her to "go ask mom." When did perversion become okay? However, condoning a bahavior that is wrong and then accusing others of hate because they don't agree with a lifestyle is completely wrong also. We've come at a time in society when personal accountability isn't important.

Because straight people never have anal sex. :blargh:

Gross? Yes. Unfair? Yes. I hope the kid manages to get his future in order, and I hope that fire rains on the team that kicked him off. I doubt that the second one will happen though. Kinda the first one too.

I meant the fact that the guy is 65. I just don't see how their relationship could work. At all.

They're both over the age of consent, so the appropriateness of their relationship is entirely separate from him being kicked off the team. Since he was on the team, I assume he had access to or a copy of the player's manual, so he had to have known he was putting himself into place to be kicked off the team when he admitted to his coach that he lied. At any rate, a public gay kiss (with a guy three times his age) could probably also be interpreted as grounds to kick him off the team under the vague "conduct deemed detrimental to the team" category in the player's manual. The coach even said in the article, "Any conduct by any member of the program that would cause such a distraction during a game would warrant the same consequences." So he probably would have been booted even if he had told the truth when his coach asked him about the old man. I think he would have had a better shot at possibly having the policy changed to not discriminate against gay players like that IF he had been kicked off the team (on paper) for the gay kiss rather than for lying about it. It sucks, but he knowingly broke the rules by admitting that he lied. :dunno: He shouldn't have had to lie in the first place, though.

lol. Also, the article says it took place in a city called Dickinson. Dick in son, like the Kuntz guy is young enough to be the old guy's grandson? Yes/no/maybe so? -.-

It sounds like the coaches were really homophobic, and took advantage of the fact that he lied (barely) to kick him off the team... D: I feel for him. :(

I feel like this isn't the whole story and something more than a kiss took place, or the guy just sucked at football and is now crying "Wolf."

So you vomiting was a way of communicating that perplexity? Next time someone gives you a dirty look or goes EWWWWW when you mention you're gay, don't be mad. They just don't understand how you could like penis.

It's ignorant to act disgusted because he's into much older men... if that makes him happy.

Do we need to recall the Anti-Quisling Inquisition

I'm a sucker for middle-aged women (in most cases in my personal life, I've think the mother is the more attractive person of a mother/daughter couple), so I can clearly see why this guy would be into guys that were born during the baby boom era :).

Good for the old man  Why would an 18 year old football player be even remotely interested in a 65 year old?
