I'd recommend Christopher and his Kind - it's brilliant, moving, and a proper brilliantly-acted drama rather than the usual cheesiness you get from LGBT movies.
Not sure if it was already mentioned, but has anyone seen Dare (2009)? It's about bi-curious / bi high school students. I liked it...
It is actually on my list so I will probably watch it somewhere in the future .

How could I forget L.I.E. It was one of my first LGBT movies that I've watched. I can remember that I didn't like it, but I can't remember why.

To be honest I don't know what people see in it. As much as I like Matt Smith in Doctor Who, I didn't like him in this movie. I had a feeling that it could be so much more if it wanted. Really a bit blank.

Now on my today's list was Romeos (German) - Interesting. Not a typical gay movie since it actually deals with a transsexual but still good. I quite liked it since it showed some struggles and everything but it could probably use a bit better ending. Not that it was bad, but it could be better. Not a favourite list material but a good movie. And I probably wasn't the target demographic - since it centers more on the T in the LGBT.

Christopher And His Kind (2011) It has Matt Smith in it
This is the whole film too
I discovered this movie this morning and I've seen it twice today. I LOVE it!!! I absolutely hate the Eating Out series, and I love movies like this. Fantastic, thanks for the recommendation!!!
I just watched a movie called Mysterious Skin today about 2 boys who are molested (one grows up to be a super geek chasing UFOs while the other one grows up to be a gay prostitute). it didn't exactly turn me on, nor was it particularly romantic, but if you're in the mood for a really fucked up movie with homosexual themes and surprisingly good acting/screenplay, I'd recommend it.

I don't think of Mysterious Skin as a gay film. It has sex scenes and attractive actors but I just don't find it a turn-on, instead I think of it as a really good film. It's so beautifully written, directed and edited. And super emotional. But yeah, it's fucked up.
I find Mysterious Skin to be a wonderful movie highlighting uncomfortable parts of society that people would rather ignore. It's a LGBT movie, because it is an issue that is present in the LGBT community.
I don't think a movie has to have a romantic/sexual aspect aimed at turning the viewer on to be classified as an LGBT movie.
I've just finished watching all the Eating out movies I loved it , it's like the gay American Pie.
Well, actually the "Gay american pie" is usually said to be Another Gay Movie and the series, it even has a pie sex parody involving a quiche and zuchinni. They are all so bad they are good, and some are really funny.
I agree with Mysterious Skin. VERY weird though. But... Joseph Levitt Gordon
I really don't understand people's fascination with JGL in Mysterious Skin. He honestly creeps me the fuck out, not hot at all. Quite the opposite. He resembles some sort of man-child, I don't know, just fucking creepy.
