FACT: Not all Christians are true followers of Jesus Christ, who their religion is based off of...

If you look in the Bible, which Christianity is supposed to be based off of, what is Jesus like? Among many things, He is a person who defied the norms of the times by condemning the elite of society while fighting for the benefit of the dregs of society. He criticized the rich, the powerful, and religious, which is what eventually got Him killed, but at the same time, he helped and encouraged the sick, the poor, spending more time with the middle and lower classes of society, people who were thought to be thieves and prostitutes. The friends that you describe seem to me, at least at first glance, to be more like those who Jesus condemned than those who would mimic what He did.

If Jesus lived in our times, what would He do? Would He try to force you to feel guilty for being gay like your friends did? I don't think so. Romans 3:23 says "for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." If this is true, is anyone good enough to go to Heaven? In case you didn't know, the Bible condemns heterosexuality as well as homosexuality... the only type of sexuality it allows is within the confines of marriage, for which it also has many regulations, so when your friends tell you that it's wrong to be gay, unless they realize that it's just as wrong to be heterosexual, they shouldn't be saying those kinds of things. Lusting after the opposite sex is, according to Jesus, in every bit as worse as lusting after someone of the same sex!

So then who goes to hell? Is it only the homosexuals? Is it only those who aren't married? Is it everyone? The Bible's basis for hell and heaven is this: Jesus came to share the love of God. Only those who reject His sacrifice for them are supposed to go to hell; not because they're bad and not because how good they are, but only because they rejected the Son of God.

Anyways, that's my two cents... sometimes "Christians" need to be educated about their own religion... it really is only the ignorant and extremists that come out and attack the gay community. You never hear of the ones that are accepting because they're just waiting at their churches for you to come to them

Believe me there are many things in the Bible that contradict and I'm not one to say but go with what makes you comfortable afterall there are many things that can be taken for grabs from any book and used or be misused. OMFG I like never hear the end about goin to hell it's like people try and force there relgion on people and then they hate the people that dont agree with it! It's sooo annoying!

I only care about religion because my family is mega religious and have abused me out the asshole because of it, but other than that, I've never encountered any other christians in my life, I don't force myself to be around christians just to earn brownie points. Either you like being around them or not, don't walk into a church and expect everything to be a basket of roses.
